By the way, work on your Spanish spelling, it's Pendejo, not "Pindejo"
Must be nice to be a rich liberial. Well I'm a hard working conservative and it is all I can do to pay the taxes, insurance, ( to keep the lawyers/lawsuits at bay ) and all the other stuff/bills/taxes. A good liberial would, catch and release, those Tuna. Or you could sell them to the highest bidder in Japan.Sandman wrote:More disparaging comments by Dan C from the OC. Maybe he is a little jealous.
I'm leaving the good ol USA on Friday for some R+R fishin the waters of the tropical Eastern Pacific for giant Yellowfin Tuna with some very good friends. I will return in late January. We do this trip every winter and it feels good to get out on the open ocean and soak up some sunshine. With a little luck, the humpback whales will be putting on a show in the aqua blue waters of Alijos or Clarion Island. It's an amazing experience
In Febuary we are planning a trip to the lower desert regions but haven't decided on an actual destination. Guadalupe Canyon in the mountains on the west side of Laguna Salada is really nice in the winter but with all of the trouble of late in Baja I am reluctant to travel solo down there. Maybe we will hit the Sonoran desert of western Arizona instead. I hear they are paving the road from Puertecitos to Gonzaga and I haven't been down that way in a decade or so.
I just completed the yearly matainence on my 4x4 so it's ready for the trail. When exploring the remote regions of the west, the last thing I want to experience is a breakdown. By doing the preventive maintainence, one can spot those little issues that have the potential to become big problems. It's those little things ya know. Thats why I carry two spares and a water purifier
So.....I'm going to leave the ol Desert Environmental and Land Use Issue Board to the one handed circle jerk club for a while. There's no internet or phone service (except sat phones) where I'm going. There's so many places to go and things to do.............. The joy is in the Journey!
Thanks, Moderator. I can agree with that. However, if it's just the same to you, I'd just as soon leave most of Sandman's similar posts up, as it does highlight how he conducts business here at DUSA to all who care to read them. Were the posts removed, there would be no public record. When I post, most of the time I try to imagine that my words will be read by my mother, my grandmother, my kids, and my pastor, as well as my close friends (who don't all necessarily agree with me). I find it reminds me to keep my statements within the realm of reality and what I know or believe to be the truth. I don't dispute that I've run a bit afoul of the forum rules here a time or two myself, and will try to avoid it every chance I get. I would only remind everyone that this is a highly controversial forum with a distinctly political perspective to it, and that it, by definition, will sometimes encourage a challenge of other peoples' statements and motivations. I have used the "report" button a time or two. Thanks for understanding.Dan wrote:Not only is Sandman once again in direct violation of DUSA rules for using peoples' real names well beyond their screen name here in DUSA, but he's engaging in personal attacks when he cannot argue with the points and assertions of those he considers his enemies. When you simply just don't have the facts on your side, most people of integrity would just shut up. Not him. He switches to foul language, displays of peoples' full names, hometowns, even addresses in an attempt to intimidate and harrass them. He's made over half a dozen outright false accusations about me, and even more about other OHV enthusiasts.
Then he has the balls to turn around and accuse those same people, as well as the groups to which they belong, of harrassment and intimidation.
WONDER WHAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, AND OTHER AUTHORITIES, THINK OF THIS GUY NOW????? If they are truly watching this website, it should give them pause to believe anything this guy or his friends in COW have to say. BOS was lied to. They continue to be lied to. The evidence is finally being given some attention, and even the State of California is now aware that they have been deliberately misled by the "Community ORV Watch" and its supporters. This is well beyond simply embellishment. This is simply lying, pure and simple.
Team Moderator Note:
Dan, It is never too late to remove a post that never should have been made in the first place. If you (or anyone else) sees a post that clearly violates the Forum Rules, please mark it for review, by clicking on the (Report this Post) Icon in the lower right corner of the post. There are gray areas where it can be difficult to tell if a post violates the rules or not, but Personal Attacks, foul language and personal (Private) information about members, that is posted without their permission are clearly in violation of the rules. When reporting a post, please identify the portion of it, which you want to bring attention to, so the reviewer does not have to spend a lot of time looking for it in the post. We (All Team Members) will work with you to keep the discussions focused on the issues, and away from personal attacks.
If you will take a close look at your post here. I think you will observe that it could easily be viewed by many, as nothing more than a personal attack against sandman, which would probably be removed if reported. In the future, please try to set a good example for others to follow, and we will work with you, to make DUSA a place where every registered member, is a part of the Team to make the forums more enjoyable for everyone.
Great link Phil, it was a good read. I guess the coat I just bought was a wise investment for the coming years. I'll postpone the air conditioner I was going to buy this year and use that money on a lift kit for my truck.Suzuki Phil wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... -here.html
Would anyone like some "ice" with their kool-aid?
Thanks, Phil. That was a good read. Just as Madoff and others did with the so called "Ponzi Schemes", there has been a creation of new markets to provide income for many politicians and their scientist's predictions of "Global Warming". I feel that they created this scare to create markets that generate billions of dollars for transactions such as Carbon Credits, inefficient and hard to manage "Green Energy" resources and other such "Green" products. Perhaps Al Gore is the leader of the pack or just as gullible as his wife, Tipper.Suzuki Phil wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... -here.html

BTW, at which mainstream (non-diploma mill) university did AlGore earn a Ph. D. in Physics, Engineering, Heat Transfer or Thermodynamics?Dan wrote:.... Al Gore, ....
