metal detecting

Post by desert walker »

I'm looking for a group to go metal detecting with this winter as I will be in Tucson for 5 months. I'm very inexperienced but am excited to learn. Thanks

DW.

Do a Google search for GPAA (Gold Prospectors Association of America) or the Roadrunners Prospecting Club, and see where their local chapters for the Tucson area are located.

Your best bet would be to join one of them.

Best,

Jim

At that time of year, GPAA usually has some outings going on.

Like Jim said, check them out - if you go to an outing of theirs, they even will supply some stuff for you (like rocker boxes, drywashers, etc., depending on what and where it is - they don't supply metal detectors, though).

It might be an interesting couple of days for you.

Desert Gold Diggers, They are in Tucson and have some pretty good claims in the area.
I think they still have monthley outings. Be careful down there, thats a pretty rough neck of the woods these days.
