Got a good one from last night. I'm going to look for some new locations for the camera to get other animals. Looking for deer, bobcats and mountain lions...

Here's how we're getting the IR videos: the first picture is how the area looks during the day. Note the branches on the ground that the coyotes pulled down last night.

Here's the camera in its weather proof case, with a motion detector and its own IR lights. The camera is set to run for 70 seconds, but doesn't always run that long. It also records sound, as well as the date and time the video is on.

Jim - What is it in that tree that they're so interested in?

Moved the video camera under the apple tree, the coyotes came by again but just walked by, but the deer seems to like apples.

Looks like this coyote has a bad leg or foot.

This AM the motion activated video camera recorded some dirty birds. Don't know if they are crows or ravens. In the daytime the video records in color, at night just B&W with the IR light. I had the camera at this location to see who stopped by for a drink, nothing last night.

They came by again, some of the figs are not ripe yet so he is selective. He even checks out the camera.

I'm so glad I saw your videos before ordering a couple new trail cams this weekend. I have a Reconyx infrared trail cam that only does still images. I was thinking I'd try a camera with flash and now I know I want one that captures video. Tomorrow I'm going to retrieve my camera I left in the "woods" here in OC last Saturday and then set it up in another area this Saturday. Hoping for a mountain lion shot. Here's a short video of some still images taken with the Reconyx and a pic.
