Petrifides

This is some sort of petrified plant


I think it cactus. It was slabbed cut by someone and it will be excellent lapidary material.
It’s a big rock about 6” diameter & 6” high & 7 lbs.

The pictures are not great especially the outer part of the rock
but it was ribbed like a cactus. I will get another pix.

Anyone have ideas on how to I.D. petrified plants?

Held in my hand is a slab of Dinosaur bone

Must be at least 65 million years old !!!
