This is an amazingly creative idea! And so appropriate for the season! It uses mostly silver with a few gems. I think one could try something similar and cheaper using gemstone beads (are you reading this Ed?). I came by this in an e-mail at work where we could write a 4 line Valentine's day poem to win one of the necklaces.
Enjoy!

Re: very creative jewelry
I like the endorphin one that costs $700 some. (It figures!) The chocolate earrings are great also. Maybe I should buy myself a birthday present, but that takes away from camping trip funds! I just ordered some maps from BlackCat mining in Oregon so this time I'll have a better idea where to go! My favorite stones are aventurine (I found lots in Wyoming as a kid), lepidolite, and that fluorescent bubbly chalcedony from near Beatty NV. I have buckets of it at home. I play with my rocks on a regular basis, identify them and make arrangements. It has been a lifelong mild obsession!! I love the split hearts. I think aventurine and lepidolite (but it is a mica and scratches easily).
A note, could all of you keep me in mind this afternoon. I have a Dr. appt. I may have pneumonia again and do not want to go to the hospital again. I have trouble getting rid of infections because I take immunosupressants (RA) and I live in a college town and interact with a lot of students. Thanks so much!

Re: very creative jewelry
Hope you get over that roc’n pnemonia & boogie woogie flu
soon
so you can get out rock hounding
Its really great that you got the rock bug when young
Fantastic hobby! I only wish I had started sooner
I looked up the lepidolite. It seems like wonderful material.
Your prbly right that it would be difficult to polish.
Wonderful specimen material
I have worked with lots of aventurine.
the other side is Amethyst
This roc’n heart is looking for a good home
so here’s my e-mail
wil2521@yahoo.com
anybody else intersted in a roc'n heart
let's talk
The split heart is something I started a couple years ago,
took a long break, and now I'm back in full force.
Every weekend, while the weather is nice,
I’m out crafting them.
There is lots to learn about polishing a stone and getting a proper buff.
I’m pleased with how there shaping up!

Re: very creative jewelry
That's pretty clever and creative jewelry. I'm a big fan of the caffeine one. Those pieces would definitely be good conversation pieces. I would ask what it means. Do any jewelry stores sell these or do you have to buy direct?
