Thanks Paul!!!

I just referenced Barry Storm,
“Thunder Gods Gold.”
for information on the massacre

Note 44 states:

“I established the massacre site exactly by finding there one of Silverlock’s
claim notices after local inquiry had elicited the information that many bones,
Spanish relics, and the lucky treasure had all been found through the years.
Some evidence of widespread digging still exists near the cliffs.”

I find it peculiar that none of this is on display.
How can we verify Silverlock’s actual discoveries without any physical evidence?

Obviously Silverlock knew he found evidence of a massacre.
But gold was lying about
So he kept it a secret? Greed?
Yet the note states that the locals knew about the site.

Can someone untangle any of this?

Howdy Guys!

I’m not trying to be difficult
and this is not the place to have this discussion
I really enjoy the LDM story
but I do seek just one piece of verifiable nugget
that lends some credence to the convoluted tale

I’m trying to read Barry Storms’ book
its kind wanders
hard to keep up with his train of thought
but maybe I’ll come up with something
lost gold would be a good start
