roadtrip
Just a few photos from a drive last Xmas. I dropped my wife off in Parker, AZ to see her mom and I continued on to Calif. to see my folks for the holiday. After leaving Parker I made a few stops at some photo ops.

The old shoe tree burned several years ago and has been replaced by the shoe fence.
Signpost at the Metropolitan Water District turnoff.
I always like to visit George and polish my brick...
A parting shot on my way back to Parker.

Thanks for the comments and taking a look. Sorry it's only the desert ... now let's get back to politics and how we all feel about the police.

Re: roadtrip
Is the "shoe fence" right where the old shoe tree was?

Sorry Rick, if my note seemed trite...That song is the first thing that entered my mind....I think the brick with your names on it is very special! I also like the shoe tree and the perspective of your photo there is really nice!

Re: roadtrip
It's within a couple of miles , near where the railroad crosses Hwy 62? I think that's the road.Guz wrote:Is the "shoe fence" right where the old shoe tree was?
You know, for all the ways humans trash the desert, and as much as I usually hate seeing it trashed, there are times when human impacts can be entertaining, creative and sometimes downright artistic, whether on purpose or completely by accident. Add to that the desert's own effects on it and sometimes the results are unique. Thanks for looking.Desert Cruiser wrote:Really like the sign post. I collect photos of signs. Nice photos
No offense taken, Terry. Interpretation of a photograph is subjective and that $25 brick is probably the best deal we've ever made.reptilist wrote:Sorry Rick, if my note seemed trite...That song is the first thing that entered my mind....I think the brick with your names on it is very special!
