Re: My Father and the LDM
I haven't seen him online yet this morning Paul.
I'm sure he will be sorry to see that I beat him to it!
I wouldn't put it past him to delete my post so he can get the first reply in.
Rocky: If we are "mucking up" your topic here. Let us know and Roy or Beth can move all this rock stuff over to Ed's "Rockhound" discussion. Jim

Don't bolt the lid down Ed... I'm cleaning up all over, and getting desperate for places to send off topic stuff to.

Jim, I'm a big fan of Kris's, but didn't get to meet him. We were never on the same location for the movie.

Jim, don't worry about the topic. I'm kind of a rambler, myself.

Today, in the mail, got my copy of Helen Corbin's book. I'm really liking it.

She writes great books.

The cat was to show the size of the rock.
I'll e-mail you.

HOLA amigos,
Ah, "cat scan" I sure missed my op that time, good catch Paul!
Rocky - dang amigo, you are famous! You are the first movie star I have ever had the pleasure of talking with, even if by internet. I am impressed!
On that 'ugly' ore - I wonder how it would look if it were sliced in slabs and polished? I bet it would come out really nice, might make a unique and pretty set of bookends.

Re: My Father and the LDM
Oro, maybe famous for the music, but not so much for the movies, I was mostly furniture in "Fern."
Curious: any word on the tenderfoot that got lost last summer? He looked mighty out-of-shape for desert rambling to me. Do you suppose he might have wanted to disappear for some reason and faked it?
Corbin's book has me in a lather. Isn't it funny how those things make you think you could just walk right up to it? Good thing I know better.
What if we get a party of about six or eight of us and comb the area for a few days? That might tend to hinder the "shooters" and add to the safety factor.
