Re: UFO Sightings in Mineralized Areas
Cool photo amigo, always meant to go see it, as it is not far from where we used to go elk hunting. Pretty strange if you think about it, since that is thought to be for the use of farmers so they would know when to plant etc - yet is placed high up in the Bighorn mountains (Wyoming) where even grass has a hard time growing. There are medicine wheels in the southwest too, not as large as that one though.

Not sure what to make of this report, Royoroblanco wrote:Hola amigos,
To try to get back to the subject, here is an "oldie but a goodie" report, UFO investigator Coral Lorenzen turned up her earliest report which dates to August 19th, 1949. Two gold prospectors named Mace Garney and Buck Fitzgerald saw a flying object shaped like a disc, which appeared to be having trouble and made an emergency landing. When it landed, two small "men" jumped out of it. The prospectors gave chase and tried to catch the men but they escaped in the sand dunes, and when the prospectors got back to where the disc had landed, it was gone. This occurred in Death Valley. They estimated the size of the disc at 24 feet, and it was reported in the Bakersfield (CA) newspaper.

Well, more than one prospector has "been out in the Sun too long" too!
I have heard of Circlestone only recently (a couple of years ago) and have never been to see it. I talked to the FS archaeologist about it, they don't really know how old it is, nor who built it. Even the purpose of it is not known for sure. Sure are a lot of oddities in the Supers!

Re: UFO Sightings in Mineralized Areas
That place is actually denoted in Google Earth. It's near the KZMQ tower.
You can see it clearly in the satellite photos.
I have tried to find the Medicine Wheel in the Superstitions, but have been unable to find it. Anybody got coordinates for that one?
The Glover book has references to a trail guide for many of the LDM related locations. I have ordered the trail guide.

Many thanks, Roc. I'm going to do a commercial for a car dealership, but I'll check them out when I get back.

Roy,
There is a used copy of Tom Kollenborn's "Circlestone" on eBay right now. They are getting pretty rare. I haven't see a copy in years.
