I tried that and there's lots of water.roc2rol wrote: and here is coordinates for a very strange modern structure
Latitude 33 25 58
Longitude 11 58 3
This purports to be a photograph of part of the circlestone:
I was surprised to see that it's not just a stone circle, but actually a wall.

Thanks buddy, but I probably shouldn't borrow books from friends - I am terrible at returning them. <Just returned a book I borrowed from my boss, after only two years. >RockyFrisco wrote:Once I have read it, I'll be happy to lend it to you.

Re: UFO Sightings in Mineralized Areas
Circlestone is indeed a really interesting ruins to investigate. I visited it on one of my hikes into the Supers a couple years ago.
Tom Kollenborn's book on it is (I believe) the first book to report on the structure and it's already changed some from the time of it's publishing. I've found a few links related to it online, but want to contact Tom and see if he's aware of any other "scholarly" investigations into it.
I'll post some photos I took while out there and attach a few good links tonight when I get home after work.

Hi Roc "n" Rocky:
That "sundial" that you see from above is a component of the radio frequency based navigational system used for air travel. It is called a VOR (VHF OMNI RANGE) transmitter. This particular one is named "Phoenix" (Morse Code Identifier..PXR).
I won't get into the technicalities here, but if you would like to learn more, just google VOR.Meanwhile, here is a link to an ILS (Instrument Landing System) chart (called a "plate") that shows the relative location of PXR to Sky Harbour Airport in Phoenix.
