Phoney Wildlife Photography

Post by Plays In The Dirt »

I'm cross posting this here from the Desert Plant And Animal forum as I feel that it's important that the public becomes aware of it.

"Phony wildlife photography in magazines, books, calendars, and posters is giving people a warped view of nature."

So you think that really nice calender showing that spectacular Photo of a wild Mountain Lion, or that scene in that Disney movie or National Geographic is real, think again. Much of it these days are Photos and Movies clips that are shot at wild animal farms using captive and trained wild animals, and this is, IMO reprehensible. After reading the article from the Audubon Magazine, (link below), I will question any calender or movie I see again. This is a lengthy article but well worth the time it takes to read it so grab your favorite beverage and relax for ten minutes or so. And, please pass it around to friends and family so they can become aware of it as well.

In this modern world is nothing real anymore??
