Thanks for the welcome - I'm hoping everyone makes my life VERY easy so I have nothing to ever moderate in this section :)

For what it's worth, I've never posted any of my "searches" here because..... well, quite frankly, they aren't worthy as much more than some scenic hikes in the Superstitions.

I still owe Somehiker photos from my trip last fall, but after that I'll put together a thread or two of my hikes and I'll try to make them at least somewhat relevant to the LDM.

SH - congrats on the honor you're being bestowed! I haven't followed the "Ark of the Covenant" stories for at least a few years, but I did read "The Sign and the Seal" by Graham Hancock where he promotes the story of the true Ark being kept in a church in Axum Ethiopia. It was a really thought provoking story.

Heck Yeah!

The more different topics the better!
The posted story might end up being about finding "Wild Onions" in the Superstition Mountains, but everyone knows what brought you in there in the first place!

And... The legends of Superstition Mountain are in no way limited just to the Superstition Wilderness Area. There are a lot of lost mines north of the Salt River, east into the NM border, and west to the Goldfield Mountains. Those stories have all been meshed into the Superstition Legends.

Moderator Note:
lingolddigger - I moved your post and the followup posts to a new topic in this same category of "True Stories - Chasing the Legend." It just didn't really belong in this thread.
