IMO , don't exist bogus maps . Some maps are coded or are very complicated and leave the impression how are bogus .
The false leads and lures are on the correct trail ,and are there to make the hunter to give up and to return .
The death traps exist from ancient times to protect the treasures over the world , with the Spaniards to be the last masters in this domain .
IMO , the Jesuits didn't build death traps . In the few cases they used places which had already traps made by previous owners who for some reasons have abandoned the spot .

You are correct that there are not any "bogus" maps unless made by hoaxes many years later, but real maps were coded in a way to look look they were not coded, I have seen this done on a few maps, even the stone tablets utilize this technique
I have decoded part of these tablets and located significant evidence at the site indicated by them

The stone tablets were made for those who know where to apply them .
You have to find first the canyon box from where the trail starts , after the 18 signs/markings and after the heart , which has to match with the clues/words from the latin heart .
If you have found all of these , then you have decrypted the stone tablets .

That's your interpretation, and I respect that, but the Latin hearts have nothing to do with the decoding of the tablets and the canyon is not the starting point

I posted some of my discoveries a few years ago, received such flack that I decided never to post anything specific again, when people put such effort and energy into their work, it blinds them to other possibilities

No , they had not . Also the heart could be recognized from the top of the ridge above .

Google Earth is way over rated, the solution is simple but you need to know the science of navigation and cartography of the time period
