The front of that one looks fantastic! I know I asked you once before how you connect the two pieces together and you answered that, but I have another question.

How do you "make" both halves so that they're exactly symetrical like that? Do you just do all the cutting, grinding and polishing freehand? Do you have some tricks to how you make sure the thicknesses are the same and that the shape is so smooth and identical?

You should make a video one of these days showing segments of the process you go through to create one of your hearts. How long does it typically take "hands-on" time front beginning to end?

Great heart Roc.

Well this particular one is pretty miraculous the way it lined up Paul
I didn’t see it coming,
Although there are lots of combinations out there to be artistically done.
It takes time and perspective. But the rock is full of surprises!

My process as become really efficient . It took me a long time.
A couple of other machines and I’ll be at full rock production.
But I was determined to master the rock’n heart combo!
I really think it my own style I stumbled on

Anyway that particular heart took a maximum of 3 hours.
Probably a little less. That’s really good.
It’s a good size heart and hard material
When I first started - 300 hearts ago – they were taking 5-6 hours or more!

I just sawed the two ends off the rock
and when I put them side to side I saw the pattern.
I sawed them on my small tile saw.
So the slabs were less than flat and smooth
(It’s amazing howa real lapidary saw with vice can cut a perfect slab)
But with a little tweaking freehand grinding
and you can get the rock to conform.
Ya get really good at it!

I’ll wait for you in the fall time Paul to be my cameraman
we’ll put together a great tutorial !!

really
Ed!

Wow, thanks for the treat Ed. If you only knew how long I stared at that work of art! It's destined to be an heirloom for sure.

Hell O Ed,

Seemed a little quiet around here, so I came to admire your works of art. On the hearts created with different stones, you managed to capture amore!

They seem to portray the unity of two as they become one, and as usual, there is always a better half.

Hey Homar Thanks!

You got the coazon de piedre philosophy down!

Any ideas/suggestions how to make this section rock!?
Its way to quiet. Especially for a bunch of gold seekers

I've told hundreds of serious rock hounds about this section.
Tell them to post a picture of a rock !
Help support this rock bottom in the desert.
But so far not hardly one as.

So ANYBODY any suggestions/ advice ?
Or do we let the rock die?

Thanks
roc

O and it wouldn't be right if I didn't post a pic of a rock Ha Ha
