Jim -- Thanks very much for letting me know about Jerry Feldner, albeit sad. As a field herpetologist, I met Jerry way back in the late '70s or early '80s at a herpetology conference at a SoCal college then again at a UC Davis conference in the late '80s. I didn't see him again until he showed up at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument where I was a Law Enforcement Ranger in 90 & 91. A great guy and extremely herp knowledgeable. We used to frequent these forums in the early days of Desert USA and discussed many things with many of the members back then. He caught me more than once giving a faulty herp answer on the forum and rarely did I catch him. Good fun but then I kind of drifted away. I check-in with DUSA occasionally and hope to do so more often. Thanks again for your help -- Danny M.
