Quartz & Gold

Post by roc2rol »

I found this article intersting

Earthquakes have the Midas touch, a new study claims.

Water in faults vaporizes during an earthquake, depositing gold, according to a model published in the March 17 issue of the journal Nature Geoscience. The model provides a quantitative mechanism for the link between gold and quartz seen in many of the world's gold deposits, said Dion Weatherley, a geophysicist at the University of Queensland in Australia and lead author of the study.

Re: Quartz & Gold [more pictures!]

Some gold and related pictures for everyone. I haven't given up hope, but gold hasn't gotten any better than a break even affair. It's tough to average minimum wage, after you tally in the expenses, deals that aren't honored, etc... I feel like a fool when I think of all the beautiful rocks I've tossed in the crusher chasing gold... but then I remember the fun and adventure of the prospects and digs! Being open to the adventure is what allows the surest chance to profit from the experience of hunting for gold!

Lots more to be uploaded to the website, but my data limits have put a temporary hold on photo and video.

I'm very interested in jewelry pieces worked from rich ore. How about someone posts some pictures of that!
