pics of OHV damage

Post by Sal »

It's kind of funny, but with an edge to it.

Here's the scenario:

I post pics of OHV damage. Then the regular OHV advocates on this board pooh-pooh the damage saying it's only cosmetic or that in 20,000 years it won't make a difference or that a volcano does more damage.

But then they try their hardest to get the pics removed.

I wonder why that is? Could it be that these riders' advocates are secretly ashamed of the indelible footprints they are leaving on public lands?

"leave it the way you found it" is the way I was brought up to respect public lands. We all have seen that OHV riders don't follow this ethic.

I wonder how long until the pics I posted will be removed?

I'm not worried. There's plenty more.

As long as OHV riding impacts the desert, the evidence mounts and is there for all to see and photograph.

Sal,

I don't try to get the pictures removed. I also don't ride off-trail. Since the trails are already there, riding on them is "leaving it the way I found it". That's a good ethic to have! Oh yeah, I also only ride / drive on legal trails. That can make a huge difference.

I'm not trying to get Sal's images removed. Where is he getting this story?

I think it's much better that they remain. It's a testament to his radical policies and the baloney he spreads.

If you are quick enough, I would just kill the link, and that
stolen picture would dissapear on that other web site

I have done that before, it makes them look real silly when
the linked picture dissapears

That is were the pic needs to be deleted, then it will dissapear off Dusa

Thanks
Wayne
There are some pretty sharp guys who post on this site that
could give those guys a run for thier money on Dusa, Even the
ones that dont always agree to what I post here. You know
who you are.

Go get um, we can bicker among ourselves here and there,
but the real people to engage those fake people like Sal on Dusa are needed.

The above image is an example of what happens when desert winds hit soil loosened by OHV riders.

the BIG windstorm last Sunday (April 5) was so bad you could not see the mountains in the distant. All mother nature. No OHV's anywhere. Much worse than the above pic. How can this be Sal? Gusts pushing 80, 90 here on far east end of 29, by the park. Nary an OHV to be seen. How can this be Sal? You said OHV's are to blame, and none were around! How can this be Sal? Care to explain? CAN you explain? It was very dusty in area's where no OHV's ever go. Soil not loosened by them, since they never go there. How can this be Sal? Maybe its those damn coyote's and cottontails. Yea thats it. Maybe they should be banned. Those sidewinders loosen the sand too, believe it or not I have actually witnessed this Sal. Hell, ban 'em all!!

Sal is beginning to suffer from the same paranoia from which S@ndman suffers.
