The California Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy) are holding a public meeting to solicit comments on an effort to upgrade recreational facilities at Kings Beach State Recreation Area (Kings Beach SRA). The original date, scheduled for Wednesday, January 18, 2017, has been rescheduled to February 2, 2017. Some of the proposed enhancements would be made to the pier, playground, restrooms, picnic areas, boat ramp and parking area. The effort reflects an approach by DPR and the Conservancy to renovate Kings Beach SRA over the next 20 or more years.
