4.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Joshua Tree National Park

At 9:26 am on July 22, 2019, the United States Geological Survey reported a 4.2 magnitude earthquake about 10 miles (16 km) from Twentynine Palms, CA. The earthquake was centered in Joshua Tree National Park near Live Oak.

No injuries or damage have been reported. The park remains open and serving the public.
