Barr Lake (CO) Star Party Jan 8th

BRIGHTON — Did Santa bring you a telescope for Christmas?  It is a great time of year to visit Barr Lake State Park for star gazing.  Join local astronomy enthusiasts from the Brighton Astronomy Club on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood Picnic Area to check out Jupiter and the crescent moon while enjoying cocoa and cookies!

Barr Lake State Park is open daily. The Nature Center is open from Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m.to 4 p.m.  Barr Lake State Park is located at 13401 Picadilly Road, 20 minutes northeast of Denver on I-76 at exit 22.  A $7 daily park pass or a Colorado State Parks annual pass is required to enjoy the park.
