April 16: Earth Day& Birthday Celebration Red Rock State Park
The Benefactors of Red Rock State Park invite you to kick off celebrating the Park’s 20th year with an Earth Day/Birthday Celebration. It will be a fun-filled day of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. There will be music, food, activities for the children, guided hikes, nature talks, wildflower walks, a silent auction (from 11 am – 2:30 pm), a raffle and much more!
For 20 years now this beautiful 286-acre park near Sedona has served as an Environmental Education Center, as conservation area of 1.4 miles of precious unspoiled Oak Creek flood plain, and as a beautiful hiking area of 5 miles of safe, well-kept trails with spectacular vistas of the Creek and the famous Sedona Red Rock Country.
Red Rock State Park will be open from 10am – 5pm and the park entry fee: $10 per car with up to four people; sorry, no pets allowed! There will also be a Concert in the Park event at May 7 (see details below).
