Grand Canyon, Ariz. –Grand Canyon National Park will join national park sites around the country with free entry into the park in honor of President’s Day Monday, February 20, 2017.

Mesa Verde National Park is planning to implement a prescribed fire between February 13 and March 13, weather permitting. The Chapin Mesa area prescribed fire is being conducted to dispose of material created during fuel reduction projects from last summer. Due to significant snow fall in January, the previous burn plan was cancelled.

California’s Boating Clean and Green Program and its partners are offering free volunteer opportunities, workshops and seminars on ways to help keep California’s waterways clean.
