Twentynine Palms, CA – Joshua Tree National Park is experiencing unprecedented visitation. All campgrounds are currently full and visitors can expect up to an hour wait time at the Joshua Tree entrance. Park officials recommend entering the park before 9am or, enter through the Cottonwood or Twentynine Palms fee stations.

Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument closed effective December 23, 2016 due to a large section of the access road being washed out by powerful floodwaters of the West Fork of the Gila. Superintendent Gus Sanchez announced the closure will remain in effect until further notice to protect the safety of the public. New Mexico Highway

Twentynine Palms, CA – Joshua Tree National Park announced that, effective January 3, 2017, park fees would increase. These increases come about after extensive civic engagement from Oct. 21st to Nov. 22nd, 2014 and a high level of support from federal, state and county stakeholders as well as commercial operators.
