It is now January and time to head to Quartzsite, AZ to attend the rock and mineral shows. RV’s come to Quartzsite in droves during this time of year.  Many visitors stay for several days and others for one or two months.  In addition to the rock and mineral shows,  the town of Quartzsite also hosts RV, car shows, arts and crafts shows and swap meets.

Quartzsite, Arizona, is located approximately 20 miles east of the Colorado River, on I-10.  The town of Quartzsite has been a rockhound’s paradise since 1965.  Quartzsite’s population grows to well over a million visitors every January and February.  Hundreds of vendors participate in Quartzsite’s gem shows and swap meet every year.

The vendors sell rocks, minerals, gift items, arts and crafts and jewelry.  You can buy raw geodes, quartz crystals and many other types of rocks and minerals.  Quartzsite’s shows offer you the opportunity to buy items that you can’t find anywhere else.  Unusual and unique items are what draw thousands of visitors each year.
