Things To Do In The Desert Series
By L. Bremner of DesertRoadTRIPPIN
This month I wanted to feature DesertUSA.com’s “Things To Do” pages. We have hundreds of articles and posts about different outdoor recreation activities in the desert regions of California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Texas. This week I will start this introduction by featuring our OHV section.

Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Riding and Off-Roading
As September rolls in we start looking towards October, November and December for desert-based trips and destinations. It is also that time of year when the all-terrain toys (aka ATV’s) come out of storage and get tuned-up to rumble through the desert trails.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving, New Year’s and President’s Day are the busiest weekends for OHV destinations. So if you plan to go those weekends make sure you are ready for the crowds. Be sure and follow all of the rules and learn about safety to prevent accidents and injuries.
We have a list of the OHV areas in Arizona and California with details on each location. Two of the most popular hot spots are Glamis (Imperial Sand Dunes) and Ocotillo Wells near Anza-Borrego Desert Sate Park. Both are in California. Use the link below to view the list read about the OHV destinations.
