As the 2015 boating season comes to an end, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area would like to remind boaters to help stop the spread of Quagga Mussels. When removing boats from Lake Powell be sure to clean, drain, and allow boats and equipment to dry. Vessels slipped or moored at Lake Powell may require decontamination to interior and exterior components prior to transport. Utah and Arizona state laws require boat owners to decontaminate their vessels and conveyances to avoid the transport of Quagga Mussels to non-infested waters.
