Morongo Basin, April 22, 2012: The Morongo Basin Conservation Association invites the public to pre-register for its Second Annual Desert-Wise Landscape Tour occurring on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 9am to 4pm. This self-guided tour will provide an opportunity to visit 20 residential landscapes and unique out-door spaces throughout the Basin and see how others have personally created sanctuaries that artistically blend the beauty of desert living with low water and energy consumption. Participants will learn about native, drought-tolerant and water efficient plants. “Through these examples you’ll be inspired to fulfill your personal vision for your property and begin living better for less”, according to Claudia Sall, event committee chair. Registration is required and space is limited.
Register online at https://www.mbconservation.org. Registration also available April 21 at the MBCA table at the following 2 locations: Joshua Tree Farmers Market, 9am to 12pm or Yucca Valley Earth Day Celebration, Yucca Valley Community Center, 9am to 1pm.
MBCA is a 501(c)4 non-profit, community-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the economic and environmental welfare of the Morongo Basin since 1969. For more information on MBCA go to www.mbconservation.org.
This program was made possible by a generous grant from the Alliance for Water Awareness and Conservation.
