Day Trippin’ Along 86: Indio, CA to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and the Salton Sea. This was a short day trip along the west coast of the Salton Sea. Points of interest visited during this journey: Highway 86, Salton City, Calcite Mine 4WD Trail in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Desert Shores, Salton Sea Beach.

Day Trippin’ Along Highway 111: The east shore of Salton Sea from Indio, CA to Niland, CA. Points of interest visited during this trip: Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea, Bashfords Hot Mineral Spa, Niland, CA, Salvation Mountain and Slab City.
