Lodging
There is no lodging within Dinosaur National Monument. There are however hotels and motels in Vernal, UT with something for every taste and price range.
Camping
Park Campgrounds
Camping fees vary depending on the season and facilities. Be prepared to pay from $15.00 to $20.00 per night. Call (435) 781-7700 for current fee schedule to be certain of costs.
Rates for the reservation group campsites at Split Mountain group campground are higher.
Campsites are available on first-come, first-served basis. Green River Campground usually does not fill up during the summer. It has plenty of cottonwood trees shading campsites and is located along the scenic Green River.

Groups can reserve a group site at the Split Mountain Group Campground which contains four sites, water, and modern restrooms. Sites are available with reservation (fee required). Phone 801-789-8277.
Individual/family campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Group sites may be reserved; for more information call (435) 781-7759. Camping fees are charged at most campgrounds. Call (435) 781-7700 for current fee schedule.
Hookups or sewer dump stations are not available in the monument. Spaces for trailers and RVs in excess of 35’ are limited. Each camping site has a table and fireplace. Water is only available late spring through early fall. Vault toilets are available when restrooms with flush toilets are closed.
Evening talks are presented during the summer at the Green River Campground.
Additional Camping
Near the park entrance are several commercial campgrounds in both Colorado and Utah.
