2024 - Clay Worst (94) is a renowned figure in the lore of the Lost Dutchman Mine, a legendary gold mine rumored to be hidden in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona. He dedicated much of his life to exploring the Superstition Mountains, collecting stories, and gathering clues about the elusive treasure. Worst's extensive knowledge and passion for the Lost Dutchman Mine made him a central figure in the community of treasure hunters and historians. He is known for his contributions to preserving the history and legends of the Superstition Mountains, sharing his insights through books, lectures, and guided tours. His dedication has made him a respected and legendary figure among those who seek the Lost Dutchman Mine. 2024. Clayton (Clay) Worst passed peacefully on June 25, 2025 at 95 at his home in Goldfield, AZ just east of Apache Jct.
