Height: 2–10 cm
Description: The glandular-hairy stem is decumbent or very short-erect and is concealed by leaves. The corolla is funnel-shaped white or blue-purple with a 1 mm tube, 1–2 mm throat with lobes 8–12 mm, generally jagged at tip and a dark purple kidney-shaped arch at base. Some populations have plants with both corolla colors.

Leaf: Leaf lobes are 5–15 mm, linear, hairy
Range: Mojave Desert, s Sierra Nevada Foothills, s San Joaquin Valley, Inner South Coast Ranges, Western Transverse Ranges
Habitat: Sandy, open, flat areas
Elevation: < 2000 m.
Flowering time: Mar–May
Notes: Linanthus parryae, a dicot, is an annual herb that is native to California and is endemic (limited) to California alone.
