Setting

Fremont Indian State Park is located in Clear Creek Canyon, near the southwest end of Interstate 70 in southern Utah. At an elevation of 5,900 feet in the Pahvant Mountain Range, the park is surrounded by Fishlake National Forest.

Climate

Fremont Indian State Park, located in high desert area of the Colorado Plateau. Winters are cold with a good deal of snow. Summers can be hot during the day with cool nights. Because of the extremes of seasons in the region of the park, camping and other activities are only available during summer months, although the Visitor Center and Museum are open year-round.

Getting There

By Auto
Fremont Indian State Park is located right on Interstate 70, 20 miles east of its intersection with I-15 in western Utah. Take Freeway Exit #17 from either the east or west.

Public Transportation
Commercial airlines, bus and train service are available to Salt Lake City, 180 miles north. there is no public transportation within the park.
